"Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports' Sponsored Athlete Darren "Hot Sauce" Hardesty Jr. Race Report From LOORRS"

El Cajon, CA October 1, 2015- Black Rhino/RacerX Motorsports Sponsored Athlete Darren "Hot Sauce" Hardesty Jr. raced in Rounds 15 & 16 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, NV the weekend of September 18-20.

Hardesty qualified 10th in the #99 Pro Buggy. In Friday's Round 15 race, he was struggling to get a handle on the dirt and was pushing in the corners. Despite his struggles, he was still able to cross the checkered flag in 6th place.

On Sunday, Hardesty and the #99 Pro Buggy were much better for Round 16. In qualifying, the shift knob broke off but he still managed to be fourth fastest. Hardesty ran really strong during the race maintaining third place. On the last lap a car dive bombed the #99 hitting it in the side and causing it to roll over. Hardesty was able to land back on his wheels but dropped to 8th place at the finish.

“We hoped at the beginning of the year that we might take the rookie of the year title in the regional series, but we never expected to be racing in the pro series and taking the rookie title there too. We are anxious to get to Lake Elsinore for the final race in the regional series. I’m not sure exactly how many points we need to clinch the championship but we want a win; that’s what we are shooting for.”  Hardesty continued, "I’m excited about what we’ve done but in racing, you can’t afford to get cocky!”
