Black Rhino Performance/Racer X Motorsports athlete Cody Rahders Takes 2nd Place at Terracross
El Cajon, Ca.- November 17, 2015 – At Round 5 of the Terracross series, Black Rhino Performance/Racer X Motorsports athlete Cody Rahders took the Fox Shocks sponsored Polaris RZR XP 1000 to a win in his qualifier then went on to finish 2nd in the main event and finish 4th overall in points for the season.
Starting in his qualifier, Cody set a rapid pace that had him leading wire to wire finishing 12 seconds ahead of 2nd place. In the main event, Cody drew his first inside starting position of the season and used that to move into second place by lap two. By lap four Cody had moved to the front of the pack where he would put a six second lead on 2nd place. By lap eight however, Cody’s car over heated and went into limp mode moving him back to 3rd. Not only was he able to hold off the pack advancing through the field, he was able to take his wounded car and move back into second by race end.
“Shoulda had that one. I finally got the start I needed, got out front and started to lay down laps but it turns out my radiator was full of sand. The car overheated and went into limp (mode) for a couple of laps. I still managed to get 2nd but the win would have been nice.” Cody recalled.
“I want to thank Fox Racing Shock for sponsoring the car and letting me race the series and Terracross Championship for putting on a great event. It was a great season and I hope to do it again next year. Next stop, the Baja 1000!”
